Forty years on, it’s time to find each other again — and we’ve built the place to make it happen.
Forty years is a long time. Friendships forged over intense dissection group mornings, afternoons on the wards, long evenings in the Tav bar, and those wild nights at the Coconut Grove — many of us have wondered what became of the people who shared those years with us. Well, the wait is over.
We’re delighted to announce that our official class reunion website is now live at www.dums86.co.uk. It’s your one-stop destination for everything related to the Class of 1986 reunion — and there’s plenty to look forward to.
The headline news: our reunion weekend will be taking place from Friday 25th September 2026. Full details of the programme — venues, timings, and everything in between — will be appearing on the site in the coming weeks, so keep checking back. The weekend promises to be a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old friends and revisit the city that shaped so many of us.
“Register now and be the first to see the full weekend programme as details are confirmed.”
Once you register on the site, a whole world of content opens up. You’ll be able to browse “then and now” updates from your classmates — see how everyone has changed, where life has taken them, and what they’re up to today. Whether you’re a retired GP in the Highlands or a tech entrepreneur in California, this is your chance to share your story.
We’re also building a shared photo archive, and we need your help to fill it. If you have photographs from your time in Dundee — fresher’s week, graduation day, nights out, field trips, or just everyday student life — you can upload them directly to the site for your fellow classmates to enjoy. There’s nothing quite like stumbling across a photo of yourself at 21 to bring the memories flooding back.
Registration is quick and easy. Head to www.dums86.co.uk, sign up, and start exploring. And please — spread the word. The more of us who register, the richer the experience for everyone. Share this with anyone you’re still in touch with from those years; you’ll be doing them a favour.
Dundee in September. The Tay in the autumn light. Forty years of stories to tell. We can’t wait to see you there.
