You may have seen recent reports of a serious security flaw affecting websites, known as PHP2Shell. PHP is the software behind a large share of the world’s websites, including this one, so you may have wondered whether our site was affected.
Our hosting company, Hostinger, manages PHP for us. It finished installing the fix across its hosting platform on 22 October and has added extra firewall protection as a further safeguard.
You don’t need to do anything as a result of this. As always, it’s sensible to use a password for this site that you don’t use anywhere else.
