Forty years on, the weekend is almost here, and the committee can’t wait to welcome you back to Dundee.
Friday: the Liar Bar
We start informally on Friday 25 September, 6.30pm to 8.30pm, in the Liar Bar at the Students’ Union. There are no speeches and no name tags to wrestle with, just a drink and a chance to spot familiar faces before the main event. Some of you won’t have been through those doors since 1986. We suspect some things have changed more than others. Come as you are, straight from the train or the hotel.
Saturday: Verdant Works
Saturday evening is the main event, at Verdant Works on West Henderson’s Wynd (DD1 5BT). The drinks reception opens at 6.30pm. The group photo is at 7.15pm, so please arrive in good time, because we want everyone in it. Dave Boggon pipes us in at 7.25pm and dinner is at 7.30pm. The bar opens at 9pm (card only), and carriages are at midnight. Black tie is optional: dress up if you like, but you don’t have to.
If you’re around earlier on Saturday, there are three tours: the School of Medicine at Ninewells (10.30am), the historic University campus (12.30pm) and Jutopolis at Verdant Works (1.30pm). No need to book, just turn up. Full details are on the Reunion page.
And for anyone with energy left on Sunday, we’ll be at the Tatha Café in the V&A from 12.30pm for brunch, coffee and a last chat.
